OUR STORY

About Us

PIQNIC grew from decades spent solving complex information and process challenges for organizations where control, reliability and performance genuinely matter. We did not enter the enterprise software market with a theory about what needed to change. We had experienced it from the inside.

Before PIQNIC, we were an enterprise content management and business process management company that designed and delivered mission-critical solutions for complex organisations.

We sold, implemented and supported many of the established ECM and BPM platforms of the time. We understood their capabilities, navigated their complexities and saw what it took to make them work in demanding operational environments.

That experience gave us a clear view of both what enterprise technology could achieve and what was holding it back.

We knew the old model from the inside

Traditional ECM and BPM platforms were powerful, but that power came with a considerable burden.

The technology was expensive, implementations were complicated and meaningful change required scarce specialist skills. Document management and process automation were often separated across multiple products. Innovation moved slowly, administration became increasingly difficult and users frequently resisted the systems they were expected to depend on.

Over time, it became clear that incremental improvements would not solve the underlying problem. Enterprise software needed a different foundation.

We decided to build the alternative

We believed organizations should not have to choose between sophisticated capability and a system their people genuinely want to use.

Documents should remain connected to the processes, decisions and people surrounding them. Powerful automation should not require layers of fragmented technology. Governance should be inherent in how information moves, not added as an afterthought.

And complexity should be handled by the platform rather than passed on to every user.

So we stopped building our future around the old model and began creating our own.

PIQNIC became that platform

PIQNIC brings enterprise document management, sophisticated process orchestration and secure collaboration together in one connected environment.

It carries forward everything we learned from decades of solving complex enterprise problems, without carrying forward the fragmentation and poor experiences that defined so much legacy technology.

PIQNIC is not a lightweight version of traditional enterprise software. It is the platform we believed enterprise software should have become.

And we are still building. Still innovating.

OUR MISSION

To give organizations a better way to manage information and orchestrate complex work.

We are here to remove the operational friction caused by fragmented systems, disconnected information and processes that rely too heavily on manual intervention.

That means delivering the depth to solve demanding enterprise challenges, the flexibility to support different ways of operating and an experience people can understand and adopt.

Complexity may exist in the work. It does not need to define the experience.

What guides us

Solve the difficult problem

We are drawn to operational challenges that conventional products cannot solve well. Complex requirements do not deter us. They are where our experience creates the most value.

Never confuse usability with simplicity

A platform can be sophisticated without being difficult to use. We remove complexity from the experience without removing capability from the technology.

Keep challenging the accepted way

Enterprise software continues to evolve, and so do we. We question inherited assumptions, apply new technology where it creates meaningful value and continue improving the platform rather than defending the way things have always been done.

Keep information connected to its purpose

Documents and data have greater value when their business context remains intact. PIQNIC connects information with the people, decisions and processes that create and use it.
